With the goal of building a base for talent cultivation and a research center in environmental and ecological sciences with significant international influence, CEE strives to become a leader in research on coastal wetlands and marine ecology, watershed and estuarine environmental science, and coastal zone pollution prevention, control, restoration, and management. At the same time, it actively develops emergent disciplines such as water quality safety and security, and environmental and ecological engineering, and provides scientific and talent cultivation support for major local and national strategies, including the building of an Ecological Civilization Demonstration Zone and the pursuit of sustainable development.
